Thank god for bank holiday weekends!

Ahh… one more day in work till I’m off to London, and it’s pissing it down here so will be good to escape the rain for a while (so long as it doesn’t follow me over there)

Been a long weekend in Ireland thanks to our August Bank Holiday, and for a change I wasn’t cycling. Went out on Saturday morning, but just wasn’t feeling it in my legs, so turned back at Enniskerry and headed for home via Bray and Killiney -50k give or take, and a little stiff climbing at Killiney hill, but nothing too major.

Sunday I went up to see the folks, and my brother, who’s back over here for a couple of weeks -was good to see them again,a nd had a nice few pints with bro on Sunday night, and caught up on things. We haven’t gotten on for a number of years until recently, and we managed to drunkenly clear the air and sort out a lot of stuff, which was cool as you only get one family, so you kind of have to keep ‘em close.

Yesterday was just composed of lazing around a bit, before heading back up to Dublin, and today is just a case of trying to get through it without doing too much If it clears up I’ll head out for a spin later, but at this rate that’s just not going to happen.

All new, yet again!

Yup, a botched svn update had broken all kinds of stuff on this domain (not that I’m pointing any fingers at wordpress, rather at my own ineptitude), so I cleared everything out and started again from scratch! 

When I have time, between heading to London on Wednesday to see Sarah and Neasan, and work and all the cycling I’m doing these days, I’ll slap a bit of paint on here and tart it up. I’ll also try and update it a bit more with what’s going on with me, to keep some people happy
